At Done by Deer, safety is our top priority when designing products for your little one. We ensure that all our products, including our sleepy and care textiles, comply with the highest safety standards and regulations, addressing both safety and unwanted substances.
As a GOTS-certified brand, we produce our textiles according to GOTS and OEKO-TEX standards, giving you peace of mind while using Done by Deer products with your child.
safe play time
All Done by Deer toys comply with the European standard for toys, EN 71, and the American standard, ASTM F963.
Our toys are subjected to numerous tests at international test laboratories to ensure they are safe.
The materials we use for our toys are tested according to the newest requirements for the migration of unwanted chemicals.
safe dinner time
Our dinner time products all comply with the European legislation for food contact materials: EC 1935/2004.
They also comply with the FDA requirements for food contact materials, as described in the Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) under Title 21, also known as 21 CFR.
For plastic materials there are extra requirements: EC 10/2011, which we also comply with.
Our silicone products are tested according to the German Food & Feed Act (LFGB) to ensure that our silicone products do not contain any unwanted substances such as BPA and phthalates.
GOTS certification
Global Organic Textile Standard
Our GOTS certified products are made from organic fibers and meet the strict standard for ecological and socially responsible production.
The certificate is your guarantee that our textiles are produced responsibly throughout our whole supply chain.
OEKO-TEX certification
confidence in textiles
Our sleepy and care textiles are certified according to STANDARD 100 Class 1 by OEKO-TEX®.
All parts (i.e. fabric, thread, zippers, filling, tags and prints) of an OEKO-TEX® certified product are tested for toxic substances, so you can trust the product is harmless for you and your little one’s health.*
* Products for babies and toddlers belong to product Class 1, which has the strictest criteria. Every 12 months the certification must be renewed to assure that products continue to meet the yearly updated limit values and requirements.
We continue to take steps to improve our impact on the environment and make safe and better items for little ones.
