The Done by Deer Activity Gym was nominated for the internationally recognized Spielwarenmesse Toy Award 2017 in the category ‘baby and infant’.
361 companies entered a total of 635 products for a chance to win the coveted Toy Awards which was presented for the 14th time in Nuremberg, Germany. The nominees were chosen on the basis of criteria, such as fun, originality, workmanship & quality, safety, market potential and comprehensibility of the product concept.
The Activity Gym
The idea by the Done by Deer design team was to create a unique and flexible activity gym that does not require a baby blanket to stand – a new take on the classic activity center. The award winning result is the free standing and easily adjustable Activity Gym that can be placed anywhere e.g. on the floor, bed, sofa or on the changing table. The Activity Gym not only sparks the imagination of the little ones but is also a modern design piece in the home.
Width and height of the Activity Gym can easily be adjusted, an innovative feature that also helps babies reach the three eye catching toys which can be hung from the center of the arc. The included toys, Croco, Nozo and a hanging mirror, will crackle and rattle when touched, all to stimulate a baby’s senses. A mirror on one leg of the arc and a soft patch on the other also attract the attention of little eyes and fingers. The Activity Gym is soft and safe for babies to play with, it stands firmly on its two feet and being flexible it is no problem to store away, move around or bring along when going places.
Because of the innovative features the Activity Gym won a Red Dot Design Award in 2016 and has been nominated for 2 other awards besides the Toy Award.
